Vera Skripchenko is my grandma, or babushka as i’ve always called her. In the fall of 2023 her and my grandpa (Dedushka) came to live with my family in america for the winter. Expecting a difficult winter in ukraine due to the on going full-scale war with russia. They were able to cross the BORDER into poland and come out west to be with us here. Being a seamstress, and me being an artist, it was natural for us to collaborate and come up with a unique and exciting cross-body MESSENGER bag. Allowing babushka to keep her hands busy while she is on foreign land. Being ukrainian we are grateful for our safety here in the states, and by donating a percentage of profits to the ukrainian RESISTANCE, either humanitarian aid, or military we are able to participate in the pursuit of victory from afar. Each bag is sewn by babushka carefully, slowly, and with love. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do, and thank you for your support!
